FIJI for Beginners Workshop
FIJI or Image J is an open source java image processing program developed by the NIH. This workshop is aimed at new users of FIJI/Image J and will be spilt into two sections.
Fundamentals of digital imaging: Short lecture covering the relevant information about digital
images (e.g. Pixels, raster, colour, bit depth, file formats, compression, resolution and sampling)
Image preparation: Hands on session looking at the below topics
- Image Import
- Image manipulation (merging, pseudo-colouring)
- Annotation (adding scale bars)
- Visualisation & presentation of 3D data
- Visualisation & presentation of timelapse data
