FIJI for Quantification Workshop

FIJI or Image J is an open source java image processing program developed by the NIH. This workshop is aimed at researchers wanting quantify their data using this software. The workshops assumes a basic knowledge of the software. New users should attend the FIJI for Beginners workshop before attending this one.

The workshop is split into two sections:

Fundamentals of Image quantification: Short lecture covering the relevant information about image quantification (e.g. Thresholding, binary, segmentation, filters and Image arithmetic)

Demonstration of image quantification: Hands on session looking at the below topics

  • Image thresholding
  • Area & intensity analysis
  • Cell counting
  • Cell segmentation
  • Macro recording
  • Simple Batch analysis

Presenter: Dr Paul McMillan, Biological Optical Microscopy Platform

Date & Venue: 9-1pm, 27th September 2017, Alan Gilbert Building, University of Melbourne

Registration: Registration is now closed. We are running another workshop in November (Click here to register)
