The new cryoTEM Talos Arctica is now ready to be used. We have achieved resolution down to 3.4A. To access the microscope please contact Assoc Prof Eric Hanssen to discuss your project, the details of the access policy and a timetable.Access policy:Any sample will go thru a set of checks before acquisition can start on the Arctica- negative staining and 2D class averages of the sample (optional 3D model)- cryoEM micrographs from one of our screening microscopes (L120C or Tecnai F30) of the sample on the grids of choice showing particles at the required concentration and 2D class averages for complex above 500kDa.

After a successfull LIEF17 bid two new cryoTEMs will join the Bio21 AMF family in July 2017, a FEI Talos Arctica for single particle cryoEM and a Talos L120C for sample screening. Both benefit from the latest generation of automation.
